You’ll be working in a fast-paced digital insurance business where data is scrutinized daily. You’ll support a close-knit team of digital and traditional marketers as well as supporting our Sales Managers and other teams to deliver the data insights that impact decision-making.

You’ll be looking at the business from all angles – customer, retention and acquisition, commercial KPIs as well as interrogating internal data sources. It’s a crucial role within a driven marketing team and a highly successful business, so if you enjoy a challenge and love data, then we’d love to meet you!

This job will be a dual focused role, data analysis and communications. The role will interpret the wealth of in-house Sales and Marketing data to provide detailed insights into consumer/customer behavior.
These insights will then feed into Marketing plans with the successful candidate supporting the Marketing function by identifying commercially viable campaigns based on data analysis.  Additionally, the analyst will manage our email lifecycle communications to our base of customers and prospects, for both upsell, cross sell and rewards programmers.

The ideally candidate will provide support for bespoke marketing performance analysis across several data sources and will assist in the design, creation and roll-out of reporting solutions for Marketing. S/he will provide a high level of expertise in reporting solutions and ensure all current and future Marketing reporting requirements are met and exceeded.
Similarly, a good grasp of email campaign management systems (Responsys) and segmentation tactics will be required with creative look and feel and copy direction highly desirable for the role on offer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports all data analysis and bespoke data extract processing for marketing operations.
  • Analyze data sources and define common data for accurate real time reporting for Marketing.
  • Design, test, develop and support Marketing reports.
  • Evaluate reporting requirements for Marketing on an on-going basis to identify and implement key improvements.
  • Innovate on existing marketing reporting using prior experience to best-in-practice data visualization
  • Develop (with a designer) look and feel and copy for a variety of emails which drive leads into the business. This is a
  • Creative communication element of the role and full mentoring will be provided to the candidate with the right attitude.
  • Communicate the results of analysis performed and report details.
  • Work closely with the RSA Group Data Analyst teams designing, improving and enhancing corporate data.
  • Provide oversight and appropriate technical sign off for all data changes relating to Marketing.
  • Excellence in delivery of data analysis, is skilled in dealing with complex data and defining clear data specifications.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Business / IT / Data Analytics
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting system development.
  • Data analysis experience in a Marketing environment is essential Financial Services industry experience is a plus.
  • Significant experience in data management, data integration and data governance.
  • Strong knowledge of business process, data or information management, data flows, data quality standards. Analytical ability to work with data and present results.
  • Excellent and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding and experience data extraction and conversion best practices.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; talent for storytelling, visualization and communicating key ideas
  • Knowledge of Email marketing desirable (Responsys).
  • Good Understanding of Microsoft Office, will be advanced/ expert in Excel
