123.ie Sales Manager – Maternity Contract

Reporting to the Head of 123.ie Sales and Service, the Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting, and setting, targets and identifying areas of improvement or development within the call centre sales department. They will also be responsible for collaborating closely with the Marketing and Digital teams to ensure we are maximising sales opportunities across all of our sales channels. The individual must ensure we are providing our customers with the best possible service. The successful candidate will be required to build strong, close working relationships company-wide, but in particular with their colleagues in customer service (end-to-end customer view) and marketing (new sales / promocode propositions) and Digital.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales management, and the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, engage, and motivate staff through clear objective-setting, regular one-to-ones and development opportunities.
  • Setting weekly / monthly call centre targets to deliver on Op Plan GWP and third-party ancillary income targets by supporting the day to day activities of the call centre teams
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies, maximising revenue generation through various sales channels.
  • Monitor and analyse sales data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics across all channels to identify areas for improvement and optimise sales strategies. Manage and improve sales centre performance through performance monitoring, problem resolution, audits and quality assurance measures, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages collaboration, innovation and accountability
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital and Marketing teams to ensure optimisation of sales efforts across various sales channels
  • Provide regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate sales performance, forecasts and recommendations.
  • Manage headcount effectively in line with business volumes and requirements to ensure most cost effective delivery of Sales volumes through the call centre 
  • To identify & maximize opportunities for top line growth, participating and leading IT and Digital projects linked to commercial opportunities
  • Understand the Insurance Marketplace, products and propositions, proactively providing insights and feedback on customer preferences, market dynamics and sales performance to refine business strategy
  • Aid human resources department in recruitment process by interviewing potential hires and outlining clear job expectations.
  • Maintain consistent professional improvement through company provided workshops, tracking call centre trends and active participation in team projects.
  • Performance of team and its individual members in achieving SLAs, sales quality and productivity targets
  • Personal and team application of Expectations, sales and marketing best practice and return on training and development investment.
  • Personal and team compliance with Group, legal and regulatory requirements
  • To have a good understanding of relevant legislation, ensuring our procedures are compliant with the Central Banks codes and guidelines.


 

Requirements:

  • CIP/APA qualified and must maintain CPD requirements.
  • 3 Years plus Leading a strong performing team.
  • 3 years’ experience in Insurance or Financial Services
  • Self-motivated, target driven and best in class execution and delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to define and deliver business KPI’s
  • Prioritising initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • This role is a "controlled function" as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that you meet the requirements as set out in the Fitness & Probity standards issued in this Act.
